About the Artist: Born in Western Pennsylvania, in 1955, Walt grew up with the natural beauty of the Alleghany Mountains.
For the past 20 years he has lived in Utah where he has painted many watercolors of the Wasatch Mountains. Fifteen years ago Walt became disabled and had to quit his practice of Medicine.
Several years ago Walt took a course with Matt Choberka, Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Weber State University, in Ogden, Utah. During the course he rediscovered his interest in abstract art.
Most recently Walt has begun exploring his spiritual side. He wants his Jewish art to help the viewer get a sense of the spiritual world through images of actual ceremonies and biblical events.
Walt has shown his art in Park City, Utah; New York City; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Rocky Mountain Art donates 10% of all sales to NAMI (NATIONAL ALLIANCE on MENTAL ILLNESS).
